Welcome to Reiki With Kimmie

I began practising Reiki in 2018 and since then I’ve offered Reiki from my home on a part time basis to family, friends, and a small client list. I volunteered for Macmillan Cancer Support at Epsom Hospital for a brief time in early 2023, and I have been volunteering weekly at the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher since the summer of the same year which I find hugely rewarding.

Energy therapy has always fascinated me so when I had the opportunity to learn about Reiki, then witnessed how it improved my own wellbeing as well as that of my family and friends, I was hooked. I love Reiki and I love sharing it with others and hearing how it has helped them. The positive benefits are so many and there are no detrimental characteristics associated with it.

What is Reiki

What is Reiki ?

The word reiki (pronounced ray - key) means universal life (force) energy.

Reiki is a Japanese energy technique that helps to reduce anxiety, stress, pain, tension and depression. It can improve sleep, mood, and our bodily systems and functions which in turn improves our overall health and wellness. Reiki stregthens our body's natural ability to heal itself on all four levels of our being: spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically. It's deeply relaxing and promotes a calm, peaceful sense of wellbeing.

When our own personal energy flows with ease, we feel balance and harmony within us and throughout all in our lives.

The tradition of Reiki was founded in the early 20th century by Dr Mikao Usui and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication. Reiki is a tradition that is open to all faiths and belief systems. It naturally clears and restores the balance of the energies within us. The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is simple. The recipient remains clothed and comfortably lies on a couch or sits on a chair. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively, on or near the body using their intuition and training as a guide. There is no massage or manipulation. Reiki can be used on the person as a whole, or on specific parts of the body. It is also possible to receive Reiki at a distance.

I'm very happy to answer any questions you may have before booking an appointment.
